HCC Woodstock...3 Days of Peace and Music...and BBQ...
Dear Heritage Hippie Family,
Our second annual Summer Bond starts June 23rd and runs through June 25th. Wednesday and Thursday will provide a fun and full family program from 7pm to 8:30pm with fellowship following. This is going to be a great time, and with out all the bad acid trips, mud, and poor sanitation.
Summer Bond is an event for the whole church family. And as a family we will sing, play, learn and eat together.
Friday night of Summer Bond will be a catered BBQ dinner (pulled pork & chicken, burgers & dogs & all the sides + dessert). This dinner is free if you register in advance and pick up your tickets on Wednesday or Thursday night of the event. If you do not RSVP and pick up your ticket on Wednesday or Thursday of Summer Bond, then the cost of the Friday dinner will be $7 per adult and $5 per child 5 & up.
RSVP tables will be in the Sanctuary and MC lobby on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings.

HCC Skinny:
· 7:14Service Friday at 7pm in the Sanctuary.
· Please read 2 Corinthians 6: 1-10 and Genesis 22 to prepare for the sermon this Sunday.
· I need pictures of you when you were a little kid. So pick one out, scan it and send it to me as a jpeg file. If you don’t know what that means; pick one, put it in an envelope with your name on it and give it to me. If you don’t know what that means; just forget I ever asked. I need them for a slide show during a service. Thanks.
I love my family, may the peace of God rule your heart and mind,
Pastor Steve
FAQ FOR SUMMER BOND
Where/when is the event held? At HCC on June 23-25 – starts at 7pm in Grand Hall.
What is Summer Bond? It’s a summer tradition at HCC – a time for us to “bond” as a church family – a time of unity and friendship – we’ll have the opportunity to get to know each other and have fun while doing so. This is our 2nd Annual Summer Bond.
What’s the purpose? We’ll gather as a church family for consecutive nights – there will be something for all ages. The purpose of Summer Bond is to bond with our church family…building relationships and friendships with one another.
Is there something for kids/youth/adults? Yes. On the 23rd and 24th, we will gather together at the start of the hour and then break into age-appropriate activities around 7:40pm…and will gather back together for a social time at the end, at 8:30pm.
Will there be childcare for babies/toddlers? Yes, nursery care will be provided on June 23 and 24 beginning at 7:40pm after the church-wide worship/game set. You will be asked to later escort your nursery-age children and their belongings to the nursery facilities for supervised care.
Is Summer Bond Free? Yes.
Will I sign in my kids? No. Since this is a church family event and not a drop-off time for kids, no registration/sign-in required. Children will be dismissed to their respective areas around 7:40pm. Details will be announced.
Where will I pick up my children after Summer Bond? You will pick up your children in their assigned areas where they currently are on Sunday mornings (nursery for 2 and under; preschool for 3-5 year olds; and elementary for 1st-5th graders) at 8:30pm.
Can I drop off my kids for Summer Bond and not stay? No. This event is geared for families to attend together. A parent/guardian/responsible adult must be on the premises and responsible for any child.
What’s different about Friday the 25th? On Friday the 25th, we’ll all remain together for a family-style barbeque.
Is the barbeque free? Yes...it is free if you RSVP and pick up your free barbeque tickets at Summer Bond on Wednesday or Thursday night. If you do not, there will be a $7 (adult) and $5 (child) ticket price for the barbeque on Friday night.
Do I need to bring anything to the barbeque? No, just yourself (and your ticket).
Do I have to sign-up to attend? We are requesting that you sign up if you plan to attend…we are using it as a planning tool. There are RSVP sheets at the Summer Bond Information Tables in the Narthex and Ministry Center lobby beginning on June 6. This will help us to best prepare for the number of people who are planning to attend. Sign-up, however is not mandatory for you to come to Summer Bond.
Will there be refreshments? Yes at the conclusion of each night, there will be a social time including light refreshments.
Where do I call if I have additional questions? Feel free to contact the church at 410-551-8500 ext 225.
