God speaks clearly...

Dear HCC Family,
 
On several occasions, those hearing Jesus speak asked him to interpret the meaning of the parable or the lesson he was sharing.  On a couple occasions he proceeded to interpret his metaphors before he was asked to.  Sometimes the Bible is crystal clear, and sometimes it’s not.
 
In chapter 8 & 9 of 2nd Corinthians the Bible is very clear.  I love it when passages need no interpretation; it makes for easy reading and preaching.
 
To be prepared for the sermon on Sunday please read 2nd Corinthians 8 & 9.
 
Don’t forget the Summer Bond BBQ finale Friday night starting at 6pm.  In order to eat you would have needed to register so that our BBQ Chef is prepared and also bring your tickets.  Dinner is being served between 6pm and 7pm.  Inflatable games will be available outside for the children.  Kids need to wear socks to jump.  Please have them wear socks or bring a pair for them tonight.
 
Been attending for a little while now and may be curious about membership?  Attend the Guest Connection Point this Sunday with Pastor Ed after the 9 & 11am services.

FAMILY SPLASH FUN!
Bring your kids and friends to our Annual Family Splash Day!  Saturday, July 10, 10am-12pm on the church grounds (not a drop-off event).  If a stormy day, check website for rain date information.  Come play water games and enjoy water slides too.  Free event.  Hotdogs, drinks, and popsicles too.  Requesting everyone bring 10 filled water balloons per person.
 
SUMMER DAY ADVENTURE
Sign your elementary-age kids up for an awesome day at HCC on Tuesday, July 13, 9:30am-4:00pm.  $25 registration fee includes all sessions, lunch, and snacks.  It’s going to be loads of fun!  Registration is now underway.  Contact Michele Hyre for more details at michele.hyre@heritagecc.net.  (When registering, kids get to sign up for a select number of sessions that most interest them – sessions include soccer, art, gardening, drama, golf, baseball and more!)  They won’t want to miss it. 
 
PRE-K SUMMER CAMP
If you have a 3-5 year old, we are now registering children for our “All God’s Creatures” Pre-K Summer Camp.  It will be held the week of July 19-23, in the mornings from 9:30am-noon.  $40 registration fee for the entire week.  Loads of exciting sessions and activities are planned, all creatively planned for preschoolers!  Discounts available for siblings.  Discounts also available to parents who volunteer.  Registration is now underway.  Contact Chyloe Cheetham at chyloecheetham@yahoo.com.
