WELCOME TO "COMMUNITY KIDS" PRE-K!

We are delighted to welcome you to Sunday Pre-K!  We have three classrooms on Preschool Path which includes our 3's Keen GREEN classroom, a 4's True BLUE classroom, and a Kindergarten Mellow YELLOW classroom. 

(We do not have a weekday preschool at HCC...this information pertains to our Children's Ministry.)

How do we start our Sundays?
Before the 9 & 11am services, preschoolers and kindergartners are signed in at the Pre-K Welcome Desk and provided an ID tag.  Afterwards, children are escorted by their parents to Preschool Park.  There they are greeted by the Preschool Team and here they remain for their service opening, music, special activities, and guest visits.  Later they are released with their teacher to their CK class.  In their individual age-specific classroom (taught by loving teachers) is where they will remain for the duration of the service.  The children will take part in interactive lessons, enjoy a snack, complete a special activity, and much, much more.  They will learn about Jesus through a wonderful curriculum geared just for them.  Pick-up is at each classroom.  You must return the ID tag to your child's teacher at pick-up time.

Celebration Sunday in Pre-K
On the last Sunday of the month, we have Celebration Sunday.  All children stay together in Preschool Park for puppets, activities, crafts and more.  Celebration Sunday is lead by an awesome Celebration Sunday team.  It's sure to be a memorable day for your child.

Which classroom is my child in?
We use August 30 as our guide for our year-long classroom assignments.  (Children do not move according to their birthdays in pre-k.)  For example, if your child turns 3 by August 30, 2011, he/she will be in the GREEN 3-year old classroom for the 2011-12 Sunday School year. 

Here's a guide to help you:
3 YEARS OLD ON AUGUST 30, 2011 - Child is assigned in the GREEN 3-year old class until August 2012.
4 YEARS OLD ON AUGUST 30, 2011 - Child is assigned in the BLUE 4-year old class until August 2012.
STARTED KINDERGARTEN FOR 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR - Child is assigned in the YELLOW Kindergarten class until August 2012.

(If your child turned 4-years old in October 2011, for example, he/she is not assigned in the BLUE 4-year old classroom until August 2012.)  Please help us by signing in your child to the appropriate class for him/her.
