WELCOME TO "COMMUNITY KIDS" PRESCHOOL!

We are delighted to welcome you to Preschool!  It's a great place to be at HCC.  We have 3 classrooms down Preschool Path that include a 3's Keen Green classroom, a 4's True Blue classroom, and a Kindergarten Mellow Yellow classroom. 

How do we start our Sundays?

Before the 9 & 11am services, preschoolers and kindergartners are signed in at the Welcome Desk.  Afterwards, they are escorted by their parents to the Castle Room.  There they are greeted by the Preschool Lead Team and here they remain for their service opening, music, special activities, and guest visits.   Later they are released with their teacher to their Sunday School class.  In their individual age-specific classroom (taught by fantastic teachers) is where they will remain for the duration of the service.  The children will take part in interactive lessons, enjoy a snack, complete a special activity, and much, much more.  They will learn all about the love of Jesus through a fabulous curriculum geared just for them.  Pick-up is at each classroom.  You must return the ID bracelet to your child's teacher at pick-up time.

Which classroom is my child in?

We use August 30 as our guide for our year-long classroom assignments.  (Children do not move according to their birthdays in preschool.)  For example, if your child was 3 on August 30, he/she will be in the 3-year old classroom for the 2009-2010 Sunday School year. 

Here's a guide to help you:

3 YEARS OLD ON AUGUST 30, 2010 - Child is assigned in the 3-year old class until August 2011.
4 YEARS OLD ON AUGUST 30, 2010 - Child is assigned in the 4-year old class until August 2011.
STARTS KINDERGARTEN IN 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR - Child is assigned in Kindergarten class until August 2011.

(If your child turned 4-years old in October 2009, for example, he/she is not assigned in the 4-year old classroom until August 2010.)  Please help us by signing in your child tothe appropriate class for him/her.
