Welcome to "Community Kids" Elementary Stop.

Welcome to HCC’s Elementary Stop for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.  
Our Sunday program is geared just for our awesome elementary-age children.

The HCC Children’s Ministry is called “Community Kids.” It is our goal at HCC to teach your child about the love of Jesus in a manner that is clear, understandable, and fun.  We look forward to meeting you and your child this Sunday.

WHAT IS THE ELEMENTARY PROGRAM ON SUNDAYS?

When your child comes to church on Sunday, you will need to stop at the Elementary Welcome Desk to sign he/she in.  (If this is your first time, you will fill out a registration card.)  Afterwards, he/she will go to the CM Chapel and Game Central until the service begins. 

At 9 & 11am, the services kick-start with a warm welcome.  Then, on the first weeks of the month, the kids go to motivation rotation classes with friends of the same grade.  Our program tailors to all styles of learners - so the kids rotate to various classrooms throughout the month while studying the same lesson theme all month long.  Our classes are taught by amazing teachers who enjoy sharing the love of Jesus with our children.  For the end set of our service, the children move back to the CK Chapel for praise, worship, and spiritual response.  We do this most weeks via a live-feed directly to the main church service. 

We also offer a special 9am class called "Dept 56" which is an awesome transitional class for our 5th and 6th graders.

On the last week of the month, we call it Celebration Sunday.  The children remain in the CK Chapel for the duration of the service for Children's Church.  This is the day we celebrate all we've learned for the month.  Our celebration teams bring lots of fun and energy to the day.

At the end of all CK services, the elementary children are picked up from the Children's  Chapel.  You will come in anytime through the "enter" door and leave via the "exit" door on the opposite side of our Chapel.  ID bracelets are required to pick-up your child.

POINTSMART - Our incentive store for our elementary children is called POINTSMART.  The children earn points all month long by attending, for punctuality, bringing their Bibles, memorizing the scripture of the month, bringing a friend, and participation.  POINTMART is open on the first Sunday of the month after the 9AM & 11AM services.  Points are calculated from the month prior and summarized on a POINTSMART Tracking Card that the children pick up before entering the store.  POINTSMART will close from June - September for restocking.  It will reopen in October 2010 for a Preview Day and reopen for the new Sunday School year in November 2010.
