School partnerships have bloomed
into a vibrant relationship. As of 2003, Heritage Community
Church is in formal partnership with Hilltop and Harman Elementary
schools which educate the counties neediest children. The
partnership is part financial and part labor. The labor part
takes the form of monthly teacher appreciation breakfasts, winter coat
and shoe drive, mentoring, Thanksgiving/Christmas adoption of the
schools neediest families, student of the month programs, and a
variety of other ancillary programs.
