If you live on the east coast of the United States, you have
to have at least a basic knowledge of
lyme disease. You say, “Lyme
disease? Isn’t that caused by a tick bite?” Yes, it is.
And the reason everyone who lives on the east coast of the United
States needs to know about lyme disease
is because lyme disease is not an
epidemic on the east coast, it is worse than an epidemic. It
is what medical science calls pandemic on the east coast.
Chances are you know someone with
lyme disease—only they don’t know
they have it. They only know that they are sick and no doctor can
find anything wrong with them. They never saw a tick attached to
their body. They never got the “bull’s eye rash” that most doctors
associate with lyme
disease.
These people look fine and eventually are perceived by their spouse
and family as lazy, a hypochondriac, or maybe a little crazy since
they always claim to be totally fatigued. They may also complain of
pains, strange sensations, and it seems like millions of unusual and
seemingly unrelated symptoms. This goes on for years and years
until one of two things happens:
- They hear about
lyme and search out a
lyme specialist and get their
diagnosis. This happens to a small minority of
lyme suffers. OR
- They suffer the rest
of their lives, slowly getting worse and worse and secretly
wishing they would just die so their suffering would end.
What can you do about
this? If you have a friend or loved one who seems to fit this
description, tell them to call me and I will be happy to direct them
to a doctor who knows how to diagnose what is known as late-stage
lyme disease.
If you know anyone with a diagnosis of:
-
Fibromyalgia
- Multiple sclerosis
- Lou
Gehrig’s disease (ALS)
- Chronic fatigue
-
Alzheimers at an early age
- Or anyone who has
their doctor stumped,
have
them call me. I don’t care if they have tested negative for
lyme in the past.
A regular medical doctor
DOES NOT know how to properly test for
lyme disease, so many people who
have lyme are told they don’t have it.
Standard blood labs like Quest and Labcorps
have only an elementary
lyme disease test and that is only for one type of
lyme.
How do I know all of this? What makes me an expert on
lyme? Lyme
disease stole at least 5 years of my life—5 years of searching for a
doctor who would take me seriously and could figure out what was
wrong with me. I was so sick and yet all of the typical blood tests
came back normal. I told my husband nearly every day that if I were
a horse, I would be taken out and shot, I was so sick. And, at
times, I said it was a good thing I didn’t have a gun because I felt
like using it and putting myself out of my misery.
So, my message to you is:
-
Lyme disease is pandemic on the east
coast of the U.S.
-
Lyme imitates numerous diseases and
causes numerous symptoms
- Only a
lyme specialist can diagnose
late-stage lyme disease, and
- I can lead you to a
lyme specialist.
I climbed out of the
hell-hole that is lyme
disease, and I want to help others do the same. Please call me at
(410) 987-2309.
In Christ’s love,
