Pastor Steve's Bible Study at 7:00 p.m.
in the Fireside Room:
Christian growth is on a continuum, with each Christian at a
different place on the spiritual growth continuum. You may
remember in Colossians chapter 1 verse 10 that Paul said that the
Christian will grow because they "learn to know God better and
better". A Christian grows because they commit to know God
better and better, not simply by celebrating spiritual birthdays.
Furthermore, the foremost way to know God better is to study your
Bible.
Therefore, during the month of July I (Pastor Steve) will offer to
all Christians at HCC who want to know God better a class on how to
study the only book that has ever mattered; the Bible. Each
Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room I will teach you
how to study your Bible in a practical and effective way toward the
end of knowing God better and better.
So come out early, have dinner, spend some time praying in the
Prayer Retreat, then attend class. I look forward to seeing you
there.

Ministry Bus Trip to the Rotary Apple Harvest Festival in
Winchester, VA
This festival celebrates the harvest of what was once the livelihood
of most people in Winchester -- APPLES! Visitors can purchase
arts and crafts from over 180 vendors. The Virginia State Apple
Butter Making Championship and the regional apple pie-baking contest
will decide who makes this year’s best apple butter and pie. Don’t
miss the fun and food!
Bus Leaves Heritage at 9:00 a.m. and Leaves Winchester at
5:00 p.m.
Cost: $35.00 which includes bus fare
and entrance fee.

Ministry is selling tickets
for the "Christmas Spectacular" at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall with
Sandi Patti and the African Children’s Choir. The show is December
19th at 2:00 p.m. Cost is $48.00 for ticket and bus transportation;
tickets are on sale May 4, 11 and 18 in the Ministry Center Lobby.
Seating is limited.
